French scrap rises but falls predicted by end-June
French scrap is seen increasing by €20/tonne ($24) on average compared to last month as contracts are being negotiated for June. This is in line with German and Italian price hikes. In May, however, French scrap prices were about €30/t lower than in Italy where values registered the steepest increases in Europe, Kallanish notes.
