French rebar prices increase
French rebar contracts are increasing by €20/tonne ($24) compared to the last week of April after sellers issued a €50/t offer increase, sources tell Kallanish.
Domestic demand is resuming after a lull due to the nationwide lockdown for which measures were lifted on 3 May. Distributors had good sales for rebar in March and April. No cheaper rebar from Italian and Spanish producers is currently being offered in France, as both countries’ steelmakers…
