French rebar demand, prices slow amid lockdown
French rebar demand is said to have weakened, with prices losing €20/tonne ($23) in April compared to last month.
France is now in a Covid-19-related lockdown for the month of April and restrictions have slowed demand from the construction sector. Distribution sources say they had a good month in March for rebar volumes, but sales have weakened over the past two weeks.
