French government signals support for Altifort's Ascoval bid
The French government will help guarantee the longevity of the troubled Ascoval steelmaking plant in Saint Saulve only if French bidder Altifort is awarded the facility. The French minister of Economy Bruno le Maire revealed this to trade unions during a meeting last week in Paris.
