French, Benelux scrap prices reduce
French and Benelux scrap prices are declining slightly this month, between €5-10/tonne ($5.3-10.6) depending on the steelmaker and its needs. Values of some grades, such as new arisings E8, are flattening, Kallanish notes.
The European market continues to be stagnant in terms of finished flat and long steel sales, with end-user activity quiet. Some steelmakers will implement production cuts this month.
