French, Belgian scrap to decline in July
French and Belgian scrap prices for some grades may decline by some €40/tonne ($43) considering the very poor performance of finished long products markets, Kallanish notes.
The market is stagnant, with the construction sector not driving demand and the outlook being negative for the third quarter. Longs producers and distributors are now facing significantly lower sales volumes and shipments, also grappling with extremely high cost of production.
