Freedonia: Steel pipe demand to grow through 2019
Global steel pipe demand is slated to slow but remain positive through 2019, concludes a report by market research company Freedonia.
By 2019, total global steel pipe demand will likely top out at 79.7 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
The projected 3.5% annual growth rate will be steady as a result of draw from construction and Chinese and North American oil and gas exploration, but tepid growth in both sectors limits top-line potential.
