Four Sichuan EAF steelmakers halt production
Four EAF steelmakers in Sichuan province have halted production at the end of July due to tight margins. Market sources estimate that this will impact around 9,100 tonnes of daily output, Kallanish notes.
Meiya Iron & Steel halted production on 31 July, with no set date to resume output. Daily production of construction steel is estimated to be reduced by 2,500t.
