Foshan Chengde cuts output on electricity shortage
Foshan Chengde New Material Company will have to cease production for two days every week, as the government requires companies to stagger the peak period of electricity consumption. The firm will also reduce output of products with thickness above 1.5mm or below 0.8mm.
The company says the production cut amounts to about 20%, which is equivalent to around 8,000-10,000 tonnes/month, Kallanish notes.
