Fortescue secures renewable power for Gibson Island
Australian iron ore producer Fortescue Metals has secured renewable power for its Gibson Island hydrogen and ammonia project in Brisbane, Kallanish notes.
Fortescue says in a statement that following a competitive process, its wholly owned subsidiary has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a wholly owned subsidiary of Genex Power for 337.5 megawatts (MW) of new solar energy.
