Former US Steel ceo takes over Cleveland Fed
Former US Steel ceo John Surma has been appointed 2017 chairman of the board for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Kallanish reports.
Surma has been a director since 2013. He served as deputy chairman in both 2015 and 2016.
Surma served as ceo of US Steel from 2004 to 2013. He was succeeded by former chief operating officer and leader of the Carnegie Way cost-cutting campaign Mario Longhi.
