Former union leader confirmed as US labour secretary
Former union leader and mayor of Boston Marty Walsh has been confirmed as Secretary of the US Department of Labor by the US Senate, Kallanish reports.
In a 68-29 vote earlier this week, the US Senate confirmed President Joe Biden's nominee to head the department.
