FNI’s nickel shipments grow in first quarter
Philippine nickel ore producer Global Ferronickel Holdings' (FNI) total shipments reached 381,000 wet metric tonnes (wmt) of medium-grade ores in the first quarter ended 31 March 2024, up 15.3% over prior year, Kallanish notes.
The firm says in a bourse filing that its mining revenues were PHP 586.2 million ($10.15m), down 47.4% from PHP 1.1 billion in the prior year due to lower selling prices which more than offset higher sales volumes.
