FMG grants freight cost cut to BC Iron
Australia’s FMG and BC Iron will trial a new system to calculate freight costs when BC Iron uses FMG’s railway infrastructure. The deal is expected to save at least AUD 2.3 million ($1.7m) over the first three months, slightly alleviating the miner’s significant losses, Kallanish notes.
