Floods hit Shaoguan Steel's operation
Southern China's Guangdong province was hit by flooding over the weekend, with heavy rainfall affecting the operation of Shaoguan Steel (Shaogang).
Shaogang's coal unloading facility, two sintering machines, two coke ovens, and some steelmaking and rolling lines were suspended due to flooding. In addition, two blast furnaces were also shut down, Kallanish notes.
