Turkeys July flats exports surge, longs shipments fall
Turkish flat steel exports grew 39.5% year-on-year to 250,000 tonnes in July, while long product exports declined by -1.2% to 824,000t, according to data provided by the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD).
Total steel exports from Turkey went down -5.1% on-year to 1.31 million tonnes and their combined value decreased -34.4% to $784 million in July. Pipe deliveries abroad rose 7.5% to 153,000t but billet/bloom exports plunged -94.1% to 4,000t.…
