Firm bar demand, prices boost Mughal's September-quarter sales
Mughal Steel increased net sales 35% on-year in the first fiscal quarter through September (FQ1) to PKR 5.4 billion ($51.3 million), Kallanish learns from the Pakistani long steelmaker. Profit after tax meanwhile rose 19% to PKR 305.7 million.
The firm’s sales in FQ1 were completely domestic, while in FQ1 last year PKR 391.7m, or 12% of overall sales, were made up of exports.
