Turkeys finished steel use rises 14% in H1
Turkey’s finished steel products consumption increased by an “…attention grabbing” 14.4% year-on-year to 17.1 million tonnes in the first half of 2015, the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD) says in a report seen by Kallanish.
Longs consumption rose by 9.6% y-o-y to 8.88mt and flats consumption grew 20.2% to 8.22mt in H1. Longs accounted for 51.9% of Turkey’s total finished steel consumption for the period.
