Turkeys finished steel output rises in Jan-Apr, helped by semis imports
Total finished steel products output in Turkey increased 1.4% year-on-year to 11.73 million tonnes in January-April, supported by imports of semi-finished products, according to the Turkish Steel Producers’ Association (TCUD).
Flat products output went up 0.5% y-o-y to 8.47mt over the four months, while longs production rose 4% to 3.26mt. Longs thus accounted for 72.2% of domestic finished steel production for the period, TCUD says in a statement seen …
