Ferrous futures stay put, await demand changes
On Wednesday, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures mostly stayed put in a quiet market, and then finally edged down slowly as raw materials weakened, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 23/tonne lower than Tuesday at CNY 3,927/t ($574/t), and the same contract for HRC lost CNY 28/t to CNY 4,009/t.
