Ferrous futures stay flat in quiet market
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures on Monday closed a little higher in a quiet market, but the average intraday transaction price was still lower than Friday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 32/tonne higher than Friday at CNY 3,928/t ($572/t), and the same contract for HRC gained CNY 30/t to CNY 4,016/t.
