Ferrous futures hit nine-month highs
Benefiting from improved domestic and foreign macroeconomic sentiment, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures climbed again on Monday and successfully reached a nine-month high, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded May 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 57/tonne higher than Friday at CNY 4,371/t ($636/t), while the same contract for HRC gained CNY 63/t to CNY 4,459/t.
