Ferrous futures stabilise amid expected inventory rise
Although demand is weaker and inventories have increased, the market had anticipated this and Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures remained stable on Thursday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the October rebar contract closed CNY 1/tonne lower than Wednesday at CNY 4,933/t ($763/t), while the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 7/t at CNY 5,160/t.
