Ferrous futures remain stable in quiet market
As commodity-related news from the “Two Sessions” meetings has been quiet, the spot market has not moved and Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures remained stable on Wednesday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded May 2023 rebar contract closed just CNY 1/tonne higher than Tuesday at CNY 4,249/t ($610/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 2/t to CNY 4,341/t.
