Ferrous futures inch higher on further restrictions
Although early trading was affected by diving coking coal futures, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures ultimately moved slightly higher on Monday, supported by further restrictions in Shanxi and other regions, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the October rebar contract closed CNY 4/tonne higher than last Friday at CNY 5,070/t ($785/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 37/t at CNY 5,325/t.
