Ferrous futures hit five-month lows
Due to the impact from oversupply and current bearish mood in markets, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures continued to dive on Monday and hit new, almost five-month lows, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 96/tonne lower than Friday at CNY 3,714/t ($538/t), and the same contract for HRC lost CNY 110/t to CNY 3,773/t.
