Ferrous futures edge down as inventory drops slowly
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures still resisted any move higher on Thursday as weekly consumption saw limited growth, despite production trending lower, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 13/tonne lower than Wednesday at CNY 3,914/t ($569/t), and the same contract for HRC lost CNY 36/t to CNY 3,973/t.
