Ferrous futures rise again despite hiking inventory
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures increased again on Thursday but at a pace slower than the prior day. This was despite inventory levels continuing to rise over the past week, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded May 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 30/tonne higher than Wednesday at CNY 4,085/t ($598/t), while the same contract for HRC gained CNY 34/t to CNY 4,160/t.
