Ferrochrome prices inch up for second quarter: Merafe
Merafe Resources Limited (MRL) says the European benchmark ferrochrome price for the second quarter has been settled at $1.72/lb, a 15.4% increase from Q1.
In Q1 2023, the European benchmark ferrochrome price was $1.496/lb, unchanged from Q4 2022 (see Kallanish passim).
MRL is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). The firm has a 20.5% participation in the Glencore-Merafe venture, in which Glencore has a 79.5% stake.
