Ferrexpo increases pellet output, focuses on investments
Swiss-headquartered iron ore mining and pellet producer Ferrexpo with assets in Ukraine increased production of pellet in January-November. The company produced 10.16 million tonnes, up by 5% year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
11-month concentrate output rose by 4.8% to 12.7mt.
In November alone, the enterprise produced 980,000 tonnes of pellet and 1.2mt of concentrate.
In 2021, Ferrexpo plans to increase its pellet production to 12mt from 10.5mt in 2019.
