Feng Hsin hikes domestic rebar, scrap purchase prices
Leading Taiwanese mill Feng Hsin Iron and Steel has raised its domestic rebar and scrap procurement prices for the second consecutive week. Demand for scrap has been spurred by EAF mills running at higher capacity utilisation since October, Kallanish understands.
The company's list price for 12mm diameter base rebar is now at TWD 16,900/tonne ($560/t) ex-works, up another TWD 300/t. Last week the mill also raised its rebar prices by the same margin…
