Fangda boosts converter efficiency
Fangda Jiugang, a subsidiary of eastern China's Jiangxi Fangda Steel Group, has recently hit a new benchmark in the durability of its 120-tonne converter. It has extended the average operating time before replacement of the converter plug is needed from about 200 taps to 363 taps, and has reached a record 502 taps with a single plug.
