Fangda Carbon completes acquisition of Jiangsu Koppers
Fangda Carbon New Material Co. has completed the acquisition of Jiangsu Koppers Carbon Chemical for some CNY 335 million ($49.25m), Kallanish notes from the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
C-Chem, owned by Nippon Steel, meanwhile, holds 53.27% of Jiangsu Koppers after also increasing its stake in the company. Fangda Carbon retains actual control, however, with ownership of 80% of Jiangsu Koppers’ voting rights and profit distribution rights.
