Fangchenggang looks to start ironmaking in 2019
Local media in Guangxi report that the province's administration has requested Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group to begin iron production at the end of 2019 at its Fangchenggang steel base. The Fangchenggang steel base has a planned capacity of 10.68 million tonnes/year of iron and 14.7m t/y of crude steel targeting high-end auto-sheet and white goods markets, Kallanish notes.
