Explosion hits US Steel's Great Lakes Works
The hot strip mill at US Steel’s Great Lakes Works in Ecorse and River Rouge, Michigan, remains down following a reported explosion, Kallanish understands.
Local media, citing fire department officials, put the time of the explosion at 11:15 pm Monday.
Five employees were taken to local hospitals as a result of the incident. Two remain hospitalised.
