Explosion hits Tunisian EAF plant
An explosion occurred on Monday at the electric arc furnace-based steelmaking plant of El Fouladh in Tunisia.
The explosion occurred at EAF no.1 and injured six workers on site. Local authorities have confirmed the accident in a note and added that the furnace was damaged by the explosion.
Further details are not available but officials from the Tunisian mines and energy ministry are coordinating to evaluate damages with the company’s executives.
