New inspection line improves Evraz railway wheel quality
Evraz NTMK has completed the implementation of an investment project to build the third final inspection line for railway wheels, the company says. Investment in the project exceeded RUB 1.8 billion ($20.8 million), Kallanish notes.
The new line consists of a laser geometry measuring device, two ultrasonic testing units and two magnetic particle inspection units, a cold wheel marking unit, a robotic painting line, and a shot blasting unit.
