European tube discounts continue to fall
European tube prices are stable month-on-month but may soon see increases as most southern European re-rollers raise their prices due to the high cost of hot rolled coil in Europe.
Tube discounts hovered at around 27 to 29 points on average at the beginning of January in most European countries. Discounts are now averaging 25 points with highest available being 26, the same levels as at the end of the first month, Kallanish hears.
