European tube discounts fall again
Southern European re-rollers are decreasing tube discounts by another 3 points this week. Each point is equal to €10/tonne ($12).
Tube prices are following the sharp hot rolled coil price rises in Europe. As values for HRC have been pushed up again this month to €700-730/t base ex-works, tube discounts are now going down to the level of 17 points, market participant tell Kallanish. Last week, welded tube was sold at 20 points.
