European stainless prices bottom out
Prices for European tube and stainless flat steel have reached rock bottom after the market has struggled with low prices and volumes in recent weeks, service centres and re-rollers tell Kallanish.
French and German sales picked up slightly in July, while Italian demand in July and leading up to this month’s holiday shutdown was weaker than in June. The process of destocking and uncertainty have been hampering sales.
