European scrap prices flatten as traded volumes lower
Scrap import contract prices from France and Germany into Italy are steady month-on-month, sources in the market tell Kallanish.
Some transactions are showing a price uptick of €3-5/tonne ($3.5-5.8/t) and some show no movement, depending on the client, the supplier and quantities. Scrap export contracts are usually signed towards the middle of each month and they are in the process of being agreed.
