European scrap import/export contract prices rise
European scrap import/export contracts from France and Germany into Italy and Spain for February have been agreed with a month-on-month price increase of €10/tonne ($11.2/t). Prices are now hovering around the same level in European countries for domestic contracts and export contracts within Europe, traders and merchants tell Kallanish. Ferrous scrap export contracts are usually agreed towards the middle of each month.
