European re-roller overhauls drag down Metinvest third-quarter output
Metinvest’s finished product output declined -4% on-quarter in the third quarter to 1.35 million tonnes. This was due mainly to a -6% slump in flats production to 1.12mt resulting from lower output at its European re-roller units amid annual major overhauls.
Longs output, however, rose 9% in Q3 to 175,000t as greater output at Azovstal offset 16,000t lower output at Bulgarian re-roller subsidiary Promet Steel due to a lack of square billet from Yenaki…
