European scrap import contract prices flatten, volumes lower
Scrap import contract prices from France and Germany into Italy and Spain are stable month-on-month in December, sources in the market tell Kallanish.
However, contracts have only been agreed to cover the period from 10 or 15 December until 20 December. Import scrap contracts are usually signed toward the middle of each month and material is delivered until the middle of the following month, Kallanish notes.
