Italian scrap import prices decrease despite Turkey rebound
Italian scrap import contracts from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries are seen decreasing by €40/tonne ($48) this month, with negotiations ongoing between traders and mills, sources tell Kallanish.
In January prices increased by €70-75/tonne on average month-on-month, in line with international scrap price hikes. Scrap import contracts are usually agreed between the tenth and 15-16th day of each month and are expected to be agreed this week.
