European scrap prices seen falling
The latest Italian scrap import contracts from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries have increased €75/tonne ($91) month-on-month, in line with international scrap price hikes, traders tell Kallanish.
However, all EU-origin scrap imports into Italy and Spain are seen falling in February by €30/t compared to January. On domestic markets in Italy, Spain, France, Germany and CEE, scrap is seen falling by €30-40/t next month.
