Europe supports Turkey's June HR flats exports increase
Turkish hot-rolled (HR) flat steel exports surged 81.8% on-year to 242,526 tonnes in June, led by increased shipments to Europe, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Compared to May, however, these exports declined -5.7%. The overall average value/tonne of June's exports increased to $535/tonne from $451/t a year earlier.
