Europe drives Turkey's January hot-rolled flats imports decline
Turkish hot-rolled flat steel imports decreased on-year in January as procurement from Europe declined, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
January's HR flats imports went down -21.3% year-on-year to 457,261 tonnes and their total average value/tonne increased to $509/t from $387/t a year earlier.
Russia was Turkey's largest HR flats supplier in January with a 9.4% on-year rise in shipments to 191,809t.…
