Europe drives Turkey's February hot-rolled flats imports decline
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel imports decreased in February, mainly due to lower imports from Europe and also reduced procurement from Brazil and South Korea, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
February's HR flats imports came in at 415,124 tonnes, down -25% on-year and -9.2% over January. The total average value/tonne of these imports increased to $6-5/t from $465/t a year ago.
