Europe drives Turkey's December hot-rolled flats exports surge
Turkish hot-rolled (HR) flat steel exports increased notably in December, thanks to a surge in shipments to Southern Europe, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
December's HR flats exports stood at 279,019 tonnes, up 71.8% on-year and 45.3% over November. The total average value/tonne of these exports increased to $435 from $342/t a year earlier.
